To Activate VinylMaster (Automatically via the Internet)

If the computer you wish to Activate is connected to the Internet click on the Help menu Activate VinylMaster and a Browser window will come up;

Start Activation

Click Start Activation and then follow the step-by-step instructions provided;

At then end of the wizard when you have clicked Download License File click Open or Run to Activate VinylMaster.

If you saved the License File simply double click on it to Activate VinylMaster.

To complete the Activation process restart VinylMaster.

Computer A		Disc

If the computer you wish to Activate VinylMaster on is not connected to the Internet (Computer A) click on the Help menu Activate VinylMaster

You will be presented with a choice to either view a help topic or to Save a file;

Click Save and save the file Activate*.html to a removable disc or to your local HDD to then copy on to a removable disc;


		The file name is created dynamically and will include the name of your computer or the current user's account name.


		Computer B
Copy .html file		Has Internet

Insert the removable disc with the Activate*.html file into any computer connected to the Internet (Computer B);

Start Activation

Run (double-click) the Activate*.html file and a browser window will open (as shown directly above);

Click Start Activation and then follow the step-by-step instructions provided;


.vLicenceFile		Copy to USB

At the end of the wizard download the License File back onto the removable disc;


			Computer A
Transfer .vLicenceFile			No Internet

Insert the removable disc into Computer A then double click on the License File and select Open or Run to finish the Activation process.

To complete the Activation process restart VinylMaster.

License
VinylMaster is licensed to you via an End User License Agreement with is a legal contract between you and us and sets out both our rights and responsibilities, see the EULA.

Important Notice
The license period remaining is determined by the type of product license you have and nominated payment method. Even perpetual licenses must be be renewed on a periodical basis i.e. VinylMaster must be relicensed on a regular basis under the terms of the EULA.

Why must I Relicense VinylMaster?
Relicensing allows us to offer you a subscription or pay-off option so you can enjoy VinylMaster without having to pay up-front in full to use the software. It also means we can be more flexible (less draconian) when it comes to hardware changes on your computer i.e. if you change a HDD or replace a motherboard for example the software will allow you to reinstall itself without you having to contact us and ask for permission - which was once the case.

Do I need a Dongle?
No, we have replaced the original Registration scheme (V1.0-V2.50) and the Dongle version (V2.51-V2.99) with a much simpler and fairer Activation System.

Does my computer have to be online?
No, it's not necessary for the computer with VinylMaster installed on it to be connected to the Internet if you wish to manually Activate VinylMaster.

Do I have to be able to access the Internet?
Yes, but it does not matter where or how. So long as you can get online anywhere by any method and can just open a .html file that VinylMaster creates, you can get your non-connected computer Activated.

Can I call you to Activate?
No, the reason why is that typing in a very long series of numbers or saying them often goes wrong and quickly leads to unnecessary frustration. So we have come up with a very simple file based method for non-connected computers to become Activated.
